Meet Chrashae

Born and raised in Odessa, I’m a devoted wife, mother, and passionate birth worker. I’ve been happily married to Shane for 13 years, and together, we have three beautiful children—ages 8, 2, and 9 months. My journey into the world of birth work began in 2016 after the birth of my first child, and since then, it has grown into a deep passion for supporting women through one of the most transformative experiences of their lives.

For the past 8 years, I have been a Certified Birth Doula with DONA International, helping women navigate their birthing journeys with support, compassion, and knowledge. In addition to my work as a doula, I am also a Certified Birth Photographer and a Certified Placenta Encapsulation Specialist. With over 150 births attended, I have had the privilege of supporting families through a wide range of birth experiences, from inductions and spontaneous labor to natural births, epidurals, cesareans, VBACs, and more. I firmly believe that all birth is beautiful and sacred, and it is an honor to be included in each family’s birth story.

My personal experiences with pregnancy, birth, and motherhood have inspired and shaped my work and perspective. I’ve navigated hospital births, gestational diabetes, "big" babies, infertility, miscarriage, home births, and more than 4.5 years (and counting) of breastfeeding. I believe these experiences have given me a deep understanding of the physical, emotional, and mental challenges many women face and have allowed me to offer a compassionate and well-rounded approach to care.

Breastfeeding, in particular, has become a major passion of mine, and I love using both my personal challenges and acquired knowledge to support other women in achieving their breastfeeding goals. I look forward to working toward obtaining my IBCLC one day; hopefully in the near future!

When I’m not at a birth, you can usually find me spending time with my family, thrifting, taking photos or crafting. The lake is my happy place and where I spend most of my summers, making lasting memories with my family. I also serve as a youth leader at Immanuel Baptist Church, alongside my husband, where I’ve been a proud member for 5 years.

Being a birth worker has been a truly rewarding journey, and I am deeply grateful for the relationships and friendships I’ve formed along the way. God has blessed me beyond measure, and I look forward to continuing to serve and support families through this sacred experience.
