Birth Doula Package
$950
Midland Doula Collective offers labor support (doula) services to all pregnant women in all birth settings. Our goal is to help every woman have a special and empowering birth experience. Doulas are extremely valuable for all women, especially those who are wishing to give birth in a hospital setting and/or planning unmedicated birth. If a woman desires an unmedicated birth in the hospital setting, there are often a few extra challenges, and more extensive preparation is needed for natural childbirth to be successful. Research has proven women who use doulas have fewer Cesarean sections, inductions, episiotomies, forceps and vacuum deliveries, and require less pain medication including epidurals.

As your doulas, we are available to offer support, advice, and resources 24 hours a day and 7 days a week before your birth and for two weeks after your baby is born. During our prenatal visits, we will learn about your personal desires and wishes for childbirth and help you design a plan with your birth goals in mind. Once you start labor, your primary doula will be there, supporting you and your partner every step of the way. While you are in labor, we will offer you research-based information, relaxation techniques, hands-on massage, position recommendations, support for your partner, and encouragement as you work hard to bring your baby into the world! Your doula will then remain with you as long as necessary in the immediate postpartum period and assist with initiation of breastfeeding. Once you are home, we will follow up with you in the postpartum period to ensure you and baby are doing well. We also offer extended breastfeeding support to our clients, because we strongly promote exclusive breastfeeding for the first 6 months of your baby's life.
Postpartum Doula Packages
Midland Doula Collective offers professional postpartum doula services to all pregnant women! These services are provided by our DONA trained postpartum doula who is certified in infant first aid and infant CPR. A postpartum doula provides support to the mother after the baby is born, helping with both the house and the baby. Her goal is to help every woman have a supported, empowering postpartum recovery. Research suggests that women who experience multi-source support during postpartum (days/weeks after baby is born) have greater breastfeeding success, greater self-confidence, less postpartum depression, and a lower incidence of abuse than those who do not. Our postpartum doula, Stephanie, is an experienced mother and birth doula offering professional, loving, individualized care to new mothers and their infant.

Childbirth Education Classes
Midland Doula Collective teaches Childbirth Education Classes at The Birth Center of Midland. The information provided in this course is beneficial whether you plan to birth at home, a birth center, or any of the local hospitals. We strive to present unbiased information so you feel adequately informed when making decisions about your labor and birth. We are the only Lamaze certified childbirth educators in the Permian Basin and have an interactive curriculum that will make your class memorable and enjoyable! While the Lamaze Healthy Birth Practices are the foundation of our class, we use information from The Bradley Method and Husband-Coached Childbirth, as well as Birthing From Within. All of our classes will be held in a comfortable and intimate setting with a maximum of five couples per session. The small class size allows for questions, open discussion, and hands-on learning experiences. Childbirth education classes are a great place to build friendships with couples in the same season of life who share similar desires for their birth experience!
